BELOW IS ALSO A SMALL WRITE UP SENT IN FROM THE OTHER TEAMS.
Location: Kitchen
People Present: Mike Covell, Jo Affleck, Grant Leach, Graham Donaldson, Your mail Team, Unknown Gentleman.
Equipment in place: Non Contact Thermometer, Internal Temp and Humidity Detector, Digital Dictaphone, Digital Cameras, Compass, Micro-Radiation Detector
The Kitchen area was a small “L” shaped room with the usual additions you would expect of a kitchen. A series of radiators were dotted around the room & these were checked to ascertain if they had been turned on, they were cold & registering 20 Degrees Celsius.
Other areas checked included cupboards, sinks, taps, plumbing under the sink, external windows & vents for any temperature fluctuations. None could be found, although the window was understandably 3 Degrees Celsius colder than the room. The temperature remained at a constant 20 Degrees Celsius within this room, which was strange as six of us where inside & one would expect the heat to rise!
Discussing the temperature everybody felt warmer than earlier but every piece of equipment, which had been configured & tested, measured no increases!
At one point a small cold spot was found in the corner near the sink area which was 4 Degrees Celsius, I checked the taps and sink for any cold areas, which showed only on the cold tap.
The rear of the sink was checked to see whether the work surface at the back was cold, but this remained at a constant 20 Degrees Celsius. The only indication of a draught was from a window within a closed cupboard. Perhaps this caused a draft, but the air between the window & the cold spot was again 20 Degrees Celsius.
Humidity levels in the room upon entering where a steady 51%, gradually rising throughout the vigil until they topped at 55%, it is easy to say this is paranormal, but with six people occupying such a small space, it must be said that the human element had an effect.
Another strange instance involved a digital Dictaphone, which although was turned off, continued to work! Usually the batteries run dead in such circumstances but in this case, it was not so!
Location: Cellar People Present: Mike Covell, Mark Lindsay, Chris Lindsay.
Equipment in place: Non Contact Thermometer, Internal Temp and Humidity Detector,Digital Cameras, Compass, Micro-Radiation Detector, Video Camera, EMF Detector.
The Cellar was a long narrow room with low ceiling & not for the claustrophobic. It had a raised level at either side, used for barrels, and various bottles and tanks for the cooling and delivery of beverages to the bar upstairs. The climb down through the narrow trapdoor & ladder was like a descent into the depths of hell, but thankfully the atmosphere, other than the smell, was welcoming.
As an historian I busied myself with pictures of the beer drops, Victorian drainage network and lovely old sink, that done, it was time to take some readings. The temperature remained at an average 22 Degrees Celsius during our stay with only one cold spot at the far end of the Cellar.
The location was under the main door into the public house & not under the barrel drop as one would have expected. Registering an average of just 16 Degrees Celsius, this was some 6 Degrees lower than the average room temperature.
I checked the immediate gas, water, & beverage pipes as well as the gas canisters & all seemed to register between 12 & 15 Degrees Celsius but the cold spot was several feet away from this point & even further away from the beer drop.
Humidity also dropped whilst we where in this room from an average of 59% on entering to a 57% average upon leaving.
Location: Top floor, Rear Bedroom
People Present:Mike Covell, Rob Taylor, Corrine, Neil, Craig Bywood, Laura Hughes, Sue Davieson.
Mark Lyndsay joined later.
Equipment in place: Non Contact Thermometer, Internal Temp and Humidity Detector, Digital Cameras, Compass, Micro-Radiation Detector, Video Camera, EMF Detector
As I accompanied Hull Paranormal Ghost Society into the top floor rear bedroom, their team medium Corrine picked up on an unsteady presence. Rob seemed to be struggling to keep still, gently swaying back & forth as on deck of a boat! We continued & Laura asked out, and although this room seemed colder than the other rooms investigated I recorded an average temperature of 21 Degrees Celsius.
Mark Lyndsay from Psi Hull joined the group & he too began swaying, when I pointed out that both Rob & Mark where back & forth. I steadied Mark by offering a hand of support on his arm.
At this point, we decided to call it a night and left HPGS investigating the top floor.
UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO TECHNICAL REASONS THERE IS NO VIDEO AVAILABLE.
