SIXTH INVESTIGATION

Burton Agnes Hall is a Jacobean manor house in the village of Burton Agnes, near Driffield in Yorkshire. we believe It was built by Sir Henry Griffith in 1601-10 to designs attributed to Robert Smythson. There is an older Norman Manor House, originally built in 1173 on an adjacent site; both buildings are now Grade I listed buildings.

The Hall contains a number of fine seventeenth century plaster ceilings and chimney pieces. Its here where the screaming Skull of Burton Agnes Hall can be found although its exact whereabouts in the hall is unknown.

It is thought to reside behind one of the walls, having been bricked up and forgotten about years before.The spirit of Ann was also thought to haunt the hall and was known as Owd Nance. She is still said to appear on the anniversary of her death.

 INVESTIGATION

We managed to get permission to investigate the grounds of Burton Agnes Hall. Arriving at our location at around 9pm,we were greeted by the owners before going onto the grounds to carry out various vigils.

We firstly walked down the drive before proceeding towards the ponds,Here we did a seance to see if anything was present with us.   We tried a new procedure called musical enticement. We asked any spirits to repeat the tune we were about to whistle then kayleigh took control & whistled to see if we got a reply. Unfortunately we didn't get anything back.

We also tried throwing a small ball to see if this would be thrown back but again we didn't get anything. We didn't really get many readings on the thermometers or EMF meter at the location of the ponds so we decided to head into the wooded area.

The wooded areas were behind us at this point & just looking at them did make some of the team bit nervous. We headed over towards the entrance with Rob(presenter) leading the way. We found a clearing in the woods so we decided to try set up a EVP recording but unfortunately the laptop wouldn't turn on.(we had this problem at the grave yard investigation).

We decided to call out at this spot while Rich & Paul went off alone deep into the woods. While they were gone we got the EMF meter going off for a few seconds & Kayleigh felt a presence behind her. Rich & Paul Radioed through at the same time to report hearing a screaming noise.

We decided all to meet back up & head deeper into the woods together. We walked round the wooded areas while filming before heading back towards the Hall to try for a final EVP Recording, again unfortunately the laptop wouldn't turn on. We had a good night although we would of liked to have got more.
